Kippin and Paul’s wedding at The Northern Pacific Center in Brainerd, Minnesota was one of those days that just felt effortless and full of heart. From the moment I arrived, I knew it was going to be special! It’s an old train station yard that’s been completely reimagined into a modern, industrial wedding space. Between the brick walls, rustic charm, and beautiful ceremony options, it’s a photographer’s dream come true. Every time I shoot here, I find new corners and textures that make the day feel fresh and different!

From the start, everything about this wedding was filled with joy. The couple was so sweet, and you could tell their guests were just as excited to celebrate them. I remember walking into the getting-ready space and instantly being obsessed with the vibe. It was elegant but fun, just like Kippin and Paul!

One of my favorite parts of the day was the color palette. The bridesmaids wore different shades that all complemented each other beautifully against the venue’s warm tones. Each bouquet from Bloom Designs was so vibrant and textured. It felt like each one had its own personality! Altogether, the floral colors popped against the industrial brick and the bridesmaids’ dresses tied everything together in the photos.

The dress shots were another highlight for me. Before the ceremony, we did a few with Kippin and a few of the gown alone, and both turned out so stunning! Because of the natural light, the soft glow streaming through the window made every detail of her dress sparkle just right. You could feel her excitement in every photo, which always makes those getting-ready moments extra special.

Ceremony, Celebration, and the Dance Floor

The ceremony space at The Northern Pacific Center felt intimate but grand at the same time. The combination of candlelight, florals, and natural textures gave it such a timeless look. As Kippin walked down the aisle, everyone’s faces softened – you could tell how much this moment meant to both of them! Afterwards, the love and joy just carried right into the reception.

Once the reception started, the energy completely shifted in the best way! I loved capturing all those candid dancing shots where guests were laughing, twirling, and just living it up. Later, that moment at the end of Kippin and Paul’s first dance – her arms up and out, grinning ear to ear – was pure magic. It’s one of those images that instantly sums up the whole vibe of the day: joyful, original, and full of personality.

What stood out most about this day was how much it reflected who Kippin and Paul are. It was classy and intentional but also fun and relaxed.
