Broc and Gracie’s wedding was simple and beautiful. They found me through one of my past couples, and right from the start, I could tell their day would be amazing. The weather was perfect—a bit overcast, with sunlight peeking through now and then and a gentle breeze that made everything feel relaxed and joyful. Catalyst by Nature Link was the perfect venue, with its stunning lake views, indoor and outdoor ceremony options, convenient getting-ready suites, and onsite lodging. The intentional design and beautiful natural surroundings made it an unforgettable spot for Broc and Gracie to tie the knot.
Broc and Gracie shared private vows during a tender first touch before the ceremony, creating an intimate connection and setting the day’s tone. Gracie’s first look with her dad was another emotional highlight, capturing their special bond. The reception was a simple yet chic setup featuring neutral tones. It was an intimate and beautiful celebration, starting with a slow morning of coffee and hair appointments in the calm bridal suite. After their small, heartfelt ceremony, more guests arrived for a lively cocktail hour. We enjoyed a delicious dinner together, played corn toss, and danced the night away, making it a perfect day from start to finish.
“I’m so happy I went with you! You made the day flow super smooth and were incredibly helpful! I felt comfortable all day, and taking photos wasn’t weird, and it didn’t seem staged.”
See this Minnesota wedding at Madden’s Resort on Gull Lake!
Broc and Gracie first met in 11th-grade math class, sitting beside each other without ever exchanging a word. It wasn’t until Gracie’s friend Abby playfully suggested they make a cute couple that things began to change. Gracie left notes on Broc’s car for about a month until he finally reciprocated her feelings. Fast forward six years, and they exchanged vows in Minnesota, surrounded by their loved ones.
One of the day’s most memorable moments was the birdseed toss at the end of the evening, where guests showered them with blessings as they ran through, heading to their cabin at Nature Link for the night before jetting off to their Cancun honeymoon. One of their favorite parts of the day? Those precious five minutes alone outside, drink in hand, just soaking in the moment together. As they begin this new chapter as husband and wife, we wish Broc and Gracie a lifetime of love, laughter, and beautiful memories.

Lindsay and AJ’s wedding at Madden’s on Gull Lake was more than beautiful. They were drawn to my work, the soft, warm touch I bring to my photos, the gentle poses, and the way I capture not just the couple but the nature surrounding them. Knowing I was a local Minnesota wedding photographer gave them a sense of comfort, and they loved how my images exuded a calm, inviting vibe. Throughout their engagement, they savored every moment, appreciating the fun of calling each other fiancée and planning their special day. Lindsay adores AJ, amplifying her goofiness and creating a space where they can be their true selves without judgment. Their love story is one of growth and connection, and on that July Saturday, surrounded by family and friends, their only wish was for me to capture the genuine love they share and the tender moments they might otherwise miss.
AJ and Lindsay’s love story began in 2019, and from their very first date, it was clear they were meant to be. AJ picked her up with his old blue truck and chivalrously held the door open, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. They dined at “The Toasted Frog” in their hometown of Grand Forks, North Dakota—a spot known for its mouthwatering fried pickles. Despite her nerves, Lindsay couldn’t help but soak up the laughter and giddiness that filled the night.
Two years later, they took the next step and moved in together, building a life side by side. Then, in March of 2023, during a sunset walk on a Mexican beach with AJ’s family, he surprised her with the perfect proposal. With the ring tucked away in his bright red fanny pack, Lindsay had no clue what was coming. He asked her to be his forever.
On a warm summer day, before the ceremony, Lindsay added a twist by doing a first look with the groomsmen, “icing” them with Smirnoff Ices—a fun moment with everyone laughing. Then Lindsay and AJ shared a private vow reading after their first look. The couples’ photos on the dock, surrounded by lily pads, were dreamy! As the reception began, the weather took an unexpected turn, and rain started to fall just as the dancing began. But rather than dampening the mood, guests gathered under the pavilion, dancing and sharing conversations while the rain softly tapped around them. It was a night filled with magic that only nature can bring.

As the weekend progressed, the fun continued at Madden’s on Gull Lake, where the reception on Saturday transformed their summer wedding into a complete experience.
Madden’s on Gull Lake was perfect for Danika and Miguel’s reception. Even with the overcast and drizzly weather, the pavilion brought the outdoors in, assuring the celebration went smoothly. Plus, rain is a sign of good luck, right? The rain helped guests enthusiastically take to the dance floor. The clear umbrella made for the prettiest bride and groom portraits. I’m a sucker for rainy couples photos. This Minnesota wedding venue is a great location with practical features that fit their day.

Danika and Miguel’s wedding weekend at Grand View Lodge in Minnesota perfectly blended intimacy and joy. Joined by their closest friends and family, they kicked off the celebration with a Thursday ceremony and a relaxing boat cruise on a partly sunny afternoon. The atmosphere was relaxed and cheerful, with contagious laughter filling the air. Everyone gathered for a lively reception at another local resort by Saturday, making their summer wedding a truly memorable event.
Danika and Miguel’s love story began at a restaurant he managed, where their shared passion for the industry and mutual dreams of becoming business owners brought them together. After leaving the restaurant in Rochester, MN, they spent some exhilarating summers working at Quarterdeck Resort, where their bond grew even stronger. Their shared dream became a reality when they opened their restaurant in Rochester, which has been thriving for a year. Family is at the heart of everything they do, and working daily with Miguel’s parents has only brought them closer. Everyone was pleased when they gathered at their beloved Gull Lake to celebrate their wedding.
In a twist during the ceremony, the officiant brought out a burger from their restaurant, adding a touch that perfectly symbolized their journey. Getting ready at Quarterdeck Resort, where they had created so many memories, was especially meaningful.
Some of the most cherished moments from Danika and Miguel’s wedding day were really sweet. Danika and her mom sharing matching wedding bands reflected their deep bond and the significance of family throughout the celebration. Their friends and loved ones held a special place in their hearts, which was evident when, during Danika’s first look with Miguel, excited friends and family peeked through windows to see the moment. A particularly touching aspect of their marriage was the shared wedding anniversary with Danika’s parents, a beautiful tribute. The chapel was a stunning backdrop, completing the elegance and attention to detail that embraced their wedding day.

In the heart of Brainerd, Minnesota, at the Northern Pacific Center, Caleb and Tabitha celebrated their wedding with a mix of elegance and personal flair. Blacksmith Main’s venue set the tone for a semi-formal affair, where guests ditched denim and streetwear for a more polished look. Instead of a traditional guest book, they opted for heartfelt messages recorded at the reception. I loved that Tabitha carried details like Grandma’s ring and a piece of Caleb’s grandmother’s wedding dress as part of her bouquet, I also love that Caleb had on Grandpa’s watch. Before the ceremony, they privately read their vows and Caleb’s face lit up when he saw Tabitha for the first time down the aisle. They also took some stunning bride and groom photos that captured the spirit of their day.
One of Tabitha’s most treasured memories involves her, her mom, and Caleb. On their first date, she embarked on a two-hour drive with a boy she had recently met—a person her mom had just encountered that day. Surprisingly, they talked non-stop there and back, without awkward silences or hesitations. It felt as if Caleb had always been a part of her life; they weren’t strangers during those four hours. Tabitha had never felt so comfortable in someone’s presence, freely sharing her thoughts and emotions without reservation. When she arrived home, one of the first things she shared with her mom was how effortlessly they conversed.
Her favorite moment of the day was seeing Caleb at the end of the aisle, tears welling in his eyes. For months, his sisters and Tabitha had teased him about crying when he first laid eyes on her. Caleb, known for reserving his tears for significant occasions, once tearfully confessed—after a few drinks—that he had purchased a ring and loved her more than she realized. Tabitha initially dismissed it, believing it was just a nice ring, perhaps a promise ring. It wasn’t until he proposed that the truth dawned on her.
Tabitha started her day feeling incredibly nervous, her stomach tied in knots so tight she could hardly eat or drink. The thought of walking in front of so many people overwhelmed her. Then, she heard the comforting words, “It’s just Caleb.” He was not just her best friend but also the man who knew her in every way—raw, attractive, and unattractive. He was her haven, her home. Those words eased her anxiety, bringing a sense of calm. She tried to absorb every moment, remembering the advice that the day would pass quickly. After their Minnesota wedding ceremony, surrounded by her favorite people, she felt content and deeply happy to be married after a year of anticipation.
“Madisen was incredible to have at my wedding! The photos I received were absolutely gorgeous! She captured the day so well that it felt like I was experiencing it all over again. Those photos are now some of my most cherished memories. I cannot express enough how thankful I am to have had her there. She went above and beyond, even if she didn’t have to, such as helping bustle my dress. Her energy and excitement made it feel like she was a friend being a part of the day. I highly recommend her!“

Despite the on-and-off rain, Savannah and Gunnar’s intimate fall wedding at Signatures in Winona, Minnesota, was a day wrapped in warmth and gratitude. The weather brought everyone closer under the white tent, creating a cozy atmosphere. Surrounded by vibrant fall colors, the day felt heartwarming and special. Savannah perfectly captured the vibes of the day with one word: gratitude. As they sat at the head table, looking at the reception filled with loved ones, they reflected on their decade-long friendship that blossomed into a beautiful relationship. Seeing all the familiar faces who had known them separately now gathered to celebrate them as a couple filled them with immense thankfulness.
Gunnar and Savannah met in the summer of 2013 at a ski racing camp in Colorado, introduced by the camp coach. Over the years, Savannah continued working with the coach, and Gunnar visited whenever he was home from school, harboring a secret crush on Savannah. After graduating, they reconnected at the ski slope while both were coaching elite teams. Their friendship deepened over the next three years.
In the fall of 2021, Gunnar reached out for a golf lesson, something Savannah had built experience with from her college days. He drove over TWO HOURS for the lesson, and they had dinner afterward. They quickly realized this was more than just a golf lesson. Six months later, they were engaged, and five months after that, they were married!
In the summer, Savannah is a PGA Golf Professional at Crosswoods Golf Course and coaches the girls’ Pequot Lakes Golf team. We also did their engagement session there! In the winter, she coaches alpine skiing. Gunnar is a project manager for a mechanical contracting company, currently working on a hospital project in St. Cloud.
Take a look at this other heartwarming golf love story!
Getting married at The Farm, as Gunnar’s family calls it, was incredibly special since Gunnar practically grew up there. The family history of the house and property spans a generation, back to Gunnar’s mom, Patrice. His parents felt deeply honored that Gunnar and Savannah chose this meaningful place for their wedding.
Their first look took place on a breathtaking bridge designed and built by Gunnar’s grandpa, adding a magical touch to the day.
As avid alpine skiers who met through the sport, Gunnar and Savannah themed their reception around skiing. They even had a chairlift brought in for guests to sit in and take pictures. It’s always wonderful when couples incorporate unique touches into their wedding that reflect their personalities and shared passions.

Emily had a clear vision for her wedding day: a small, intimate ceremony in the backyard of an Airbnb in Minnesota. She wanted a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere surrounded only by close friends and family. They would share the joy of a perfect moment with the people who mattered most at a simple reception. Without the pressure of flawless details, the day promised to be authentically beautiful, just like Sam and Emily’s love story.
Sam and Emily met on Hinge and hit it off immediately. Their conversations flowed effortlessly, with quick and easy banter that made them feel like they’d known each other for years. They spent five hours talking on their first date and have been inseparable ever since. Six months into their relationship, Sam proposed at Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, and Emily’s enthusiastic “yes” was the easiest decision she ever made.
The day of the wedding was bustling with activity as Emily and Sam’s DIY vision came to life. Emily was busy finishing the flower arrangements and getting ready, while Sam and his groomsmen ensured everything was set up perfectly. Despite the nervousness of not seeing or talking to Sam all day, Emily had complete faith in him and the team. Her bridesmaids and mom kept her calm and focused, ensuring everything stayed on track. After the first look, the stress melted away, and everyone felt at ease. The ceremony was perfect, and Sam and Emily felt incredibly fortunate to share the moment with the support of their friends and family.

Logan and Brynn radiated sweetness and love, making them an absolute joy to be around. Brynn’s heart of gold paired perfectly with Logan’s gentlemanly nature, creating a truly perfect duo. The afternoon at Madden’s Resort on Gull Lake was a memorable experience. The fresh air under the Pavilion, the lively chatter, and infectious laughter created a vibrant atmosphere. However, what stood out the most were the killer dance moves on the dance floor. The light wands, shades, and streamers added an extra layer of fun and excitement. I couldn’t resist joining in on the dancing, and I’m glad I did. Capturing those candid moments of pure joy and uninhibited fun is always a highlight for me.
Logan and Brynn’s love story began at The Pines Golf Course at Grandview Lodge, where Logan was the golf professional. Brynn was hired as a beverage cart girl, and Logan quickly took notice of her charm. Soon after, Logan transitioned to Cragun’s Legacy Courses as the Head Golf Pro. Brynn didn’t need much convincing to follow him. She found him quite cute, after all.
Without hesitation, Brynn followed Logan to Cragun’s. Their working relationship blossomed into a romantic one, and soon they were inseparable.
“From meeting Madisen to having her shoot our engagement and wedding photos, we were so impressed with her communication, passion, and clear love for her job- which she will tell you “doesn’t feel like work at all.” She was very easy to work with and helped take the guesswork out of the picture-taking process throughout our wedding day! She captured what was important to us and was very personable, which made the nerves of the day and the potential intimidation of being in front of the camera melt away. From the big to small details, she captured every bit, and we are so grateful to have memories we can frame, share, and love forever.”
I had the pleasure of meeting Brynn while photographing another wedding on the Gull Lake cruise boat. She was a joy to connect with, and when she reached out to share her engagement news, I was thrilled beyond measure. We clicked instantly, and I knew capturing their story would be amazing.
Their reception was filled with thoughtful details that reflected their love for vintage, timeless, and classic things. Every detail held significance, from the vintage phone voicemail “guestbook” to the classic car Logan’s uncle restored for their day. Brynn’s Nana gifted them antique champagne flutes for their first toast, and her mom curated almost all the items in the detail photos. Brynn and Logan were incredibly grateful to their families and friends for contributing to their special day. Their wedding was a beautiful reminder that celebrations surrounded by your favorite people are the most meaningful.

In Brainerd, Minnesota, Lizzy and Connor had an industrial romantic wedding at the Northern Pacific Center. Lizzy is seriously one of the sweetest people you’ll meet. She and her sisters were full of smiles and laughter in the bridal suite while Connor and the guys were doing the same. It was an overcast day, with soft snowflakes falling, so we kept cozy inside most of the day.
Connor and Elizabeth met in the high school band room. Yep, they’re your classic high-school sweethearts—she played the flute, and he played the saxophone. Now, Connor is the Branding Manager and Co-Founder of Eufouric Brands, a family business. In his downtime, he indulges in his passion for racing at BIR with his new Camaro ZL1. Elizabeth, on the other hand, is a Lead RN at an ENT clinic and generously volunteers as a Nisswa Firefighter/First Responder, giving back to her community.
They began their day preparing in the bridal suite, Le Leir, and the groom’s suite, Lincoln Lounge. The intimate ceremony was in the stunning 2 South space, where they opted for their first look while walking down the aisle! To determine who would read their vows first, they even decided with a playful game of rock-paper-scissors, a reflection of their daily decision-making as a couple. Their sand and stone unity ceremony involved all their closest family and friends. Tom, the Father of the Groom, officiated the ceremony, making it more personal. Lizzy also shared a special first look with her mother and honored her late father by placing his tie on his chair.
Their celebration continued at Luminary, where a family-style table awaited their guests for a cozy dinner together. The long table arrangement was beautiful and intimate. Cocktail hour followed, with more friends arriving to join in the celebration and dance the night away. Seeing everyone’s happy faces as they congratulated the newlyweds was heartwarming.
“We chose Madi because she is a phenomenal photographer and very personable! Photos on our wedding day felt natural and unhurried. Madi listened to our wishes and wants for photos. She is someone who is dependable and has an eye for capturing the best images/moments. We love our images from our day and have recommended her to friends and family!”

Lydia and Judah’s wedding at Stone Hill Farm was a standout event, marked by the genuine joy and love shared by all who surrounded them. The late fall day was beautifully relaxed, and even the evening sun made a perfect appearance.
Lydiah and Judah first met in 2021 through the church, where Judah’s father had been urging Lydia to meet his son since August. When Judah finally appeared one day, his father made the introduction. Despite this, they didn’t start talking intentionally until October 2022. They continued to be part of each other’s lives by volunteering at the same youth group but didn’t become friends until July 2022. Lydia initially declined Judah’s invitation to go out, feeling they were in different life stages. Looking back, she believes it was the best choice, and they made their relationship official in December of 2022.
Lydia has been a client of mine for the past couple of years, and she specifically chose me for her wedding because she appreciated the peace and optimism I bring. Her favorite part of the day was the ceremony, which felt surreal as she walked down the aisle with her dad, seeing all the support for her and Judah’s marriage. Just before her entrance, she watched as rose petals were scattered down the aisle in honor of her 3-year-old niece, who had passed away in 2023 and would have been their flower girl. In that moment, she experienced a flood of emotions, reflecting on how God had led her to this point—walking down the aisle to marry the love of her life.
Their exceptional style was evident in every detail, from their stylish kicks to their comfortable and perfectly coordinated exit attire!
“If you are thinking of booking your wedding or any other pictures of any kind with Madisen, you will not regret it! She is full of so much life and creativity and makes me feel so at ease every single time I work with her. My husband and I also did our engagement photos with her, and the experience turned into a core memory we will never forget and talk about all of the time! 10/10!”
